I cannot believe that it has been 8 months since Aiden's birth!! That is crazy! Especially since the time has gone by soo fast. I'm wondering what happened to winter and now that the weather is getting nicer I know that the time is going to go by even faster. We have alot of things coming up this summer and while I really want to the time to come so I can do those things I know that when it does come then that will mean that summer is at least half over. :( With that I now have 4mos to plan Aiden's first birthday and I know that seems like a long time right now I know that like the past 8mos, it will fly by in the blink of an eye and I also have to plan Seth's 30th birthday party for 4wks after Aiden's. What a big year!!

Taste of Summer
This past weekend was so beautiful outside! Saturday we got up played for a little bit and buy the time Aiden was ready for a nap we loaded the car up and headed into Boston. Since it was going to take a god 45min to get there then Aiden would nap in the car. I didn't want to put him down for a nap just to wake him to get in the car. I actually managed to get shorts on and I didn't look horible either. It was pretty warm and I am a little annoyed at myself for not getting any pictures of Aiden in Boston. We even went to see the Harbor Seals at the Aquarium. He was too tired tor eally get any enjoyment out of them, which he usually loves animals. It was the first time that we got to put shorts on Aiden. He is such a cutey with his little chubby legs! Afterwards we stopped at Seth's parents so they could see Aiden in his shorts and we gave him some lunch then we put him in for a nap and he slept 2hrs! He woudl have slept longer if we let him but it was almost 530pm.
Sunday we went out to breakfast and then did some errands. We got a small inflatible pool for the back yard that is big enough for all of us to use. It took a while to blow up. Seth was all excited and wanted to put Aiden in it but i knew that he was going to freak out since it was just hose water in there. It was going to be too cold for him. Sure enough as soon as his feet hit the water the lip curled up and he started to cry. Definitely not bath water. It was late anyway and he was getting cranky since he was over due for a nap.
Its nice again today and it makes me not want to work even more. I like have the freedom to be able to pay my own bills and to even have a tiny bt of spending money, but I also love styaing home with Aiden. It's a draw as to what I really want in the end because I like both options.

Getting so big.
I have a feeling that we are hitting a growth spurt with Aiden. In addition to getting over being sick, I think that is the reason why he has been sleeping so much lately. I also was reading that when teething babies can refuse to eat and be really irritable. He has been moody off and on this past week and refusing his solids. It doesn't help when you cough so much you throw up, so that may have put him off of solids as well. He's just been anti-veggies lately. All fruit cake. Well at least it is something in his belly. As far as the teething goes, he is fine eating hte puffies or the Mums but he shies away from the pureed stuff. And he can't seem to get enough of his bib in his mouth.
Saturday we raised the exersaucer up a notch because it was recommended that they not be flat footed in it. Well he is still flat footed so we may have to raise it up again. We also used the new car seat for the first time and use the seat in a shopping cart for the first time. The final first for this weekend was that he started to lift his belly off the floor to try to get into a crawling position. No crawling yet just some scoots backwards and he turns in a circle. Such a big weekend! I think the kicker was the picture below. He doesn;t look like a baby in it. He looks like a little man. Makes me sad that he is growing up soo fast and there is nothing I can do about it except try to capture it as fast as possible.
I look all grown up.
What's that on my head?!
Little sleeping prince.

Here comes the Sun!!
Friday it was absolutely beautiful outside!! Close to 75 degrees. I wish I had gottne out more, but Aiden still wasn't feeling that great and all he wanted to do was sleep. So I let him and I did a bunch of stuff around the house. Got two more boxes unpacked in the basement. I did get outside myself and planted some tullips in the front of the house.
That night I got my hair cut and highlights done. I feel so much better with them. Last time I had them done was last April and since then I really have not had time to do them. Plus with the trim my hair is curling much better now instead of dead straggle curls. Seth didn't like how much was cut off my hair, but I like it.
Saturday was yard work day. Aiden still wanted to sleep most of the day so at 9am I put him in for a nap and he slept until 11:30am. We bought some more flowers from Lowe's for the garden that we edged out. I planted those when Aiden went in for his afternoon nap.
Sunday it was supposed to rain, but it ended up being a sunny day with a day shower here and there. We went to Home Depot of get some more garden edging stones and to get a few more flowers, plus some Pansies for the shed flower box. While I planted those and the hydrangea Seth had some Aiden time. Then it was time for dinner. We had hanburgers on the grill. Aiden was being picky so he chewed in a biter biscuit that we bought earlier when grocery shopping. Overall it was a good weekend but it went too fast.

What a week!
Aiden got sent home from daycare early on Monday with a fever. When I got there the sheet said that it was 102.1 so on the way home i called the doctor to see if they wanted me to bring him in. They told me to give him Tylenol and to watch him in case he gets worse.
Tuesday we stay home together have some fun. He sleeps alot because he doesn't feel good. That is fine sleep is good when you are feeling crappy. By the afternoon it seems that his temp has gone down, but he has started to develope a cough. By the evening Aiden's temp went back up and he was cranky. Didn't want anything to do with dinner so I out him down around 7pm. He slept so horribly that night which meant that I slept horribly as well. Wednesday morning I got up, got ready for work, but prepared myself to be staying home again. Sure enough Aiden still had a temp and his cough sounded worse and he ended up throwing up half his breakfast. I called the doctor left a message since they don't open until 9am. At 9:40am they called back and gave me an appt for 11:40am. We get there, check in, get the whole run down with the nurse. I find out that he has actually lost an ounce since his last appointment March 20th. Doctor comes in checks him and says that he wants to do a breathing treatment on Aiden because he doesn't like all the wheezing. We end up doing 2 breathing treatments before going home.
We get home. I give Aiden lunch of cereal and fruit. He ate most if it so that made me happy. He was getting super cranky so I brought him upstairs for his nap. He drank about 3oz of his bottle but I couldn;t get him to burp because all he wanted to do was sleep. I have put him down many times without burping and for the most part its no big deal. He may wake up and want to be burped but then goes right back to sleep. Well this time he ended up having a coughing fit and threw up all in the crib. No big deal. I can just change the sheets, well he ended up just falling back to sleep after coughing so he slept in the mess. I felt so bad because I have no idea when he did htis since he didn't complain about it. Later in the day he ended up throwing up a little of his bottle and then he threw up most of his dinner as well-all over the changing table. Pooe little guy. He also had his fever go back up to 102.6. Jeez!
This morning he had only a slight temp. Was still groggy. he went to Grandmas house today because I couldn't take another day off. At least he is in good hands. No way I could send him to daycare. So far he did throw up a little from what I have heard but I have figured out that he is doing it from coughing so hard. I hope this passes soon. I don't want him losing anymore weight and I don't want him throwing up anymore because I know that it bothers his throat even more then the coughing already does. Well at least I have Friday off and I can be there for him over the weekend as well. Seth is not working so that is a bonus. I just hate to see my little man sick. I want him to be happy and healthy.

ugggh. food poisoning
Sunday afternoon I ended up camping out in my bathroom with food poisoning. It has been so long since I had it that I almost forgot what it was like. And it got to the point where I began to think that if I was going to get sick again then could something at least come up instead of this stupid dry heaving. That is what knocks the wind out of you. Seth told me to go to bed after he saw me laying on the floor mat with a blanket on trying to sleep. I knew better though. Sure put me in the bedroom where I know that if I was there then I was probably not going to make it to the bathroom in time plus Seth was downstairs as well so he'd have to go running up the stairs to get to me in time anyway. Much easier in the downstairs bathroom. Besides I spent good money on those bath mats so they are pretty soft.
By the time 11pm rolled around I was feeling better but too tired and worn out. I was hungry but knew that if I ate anything then it was probably just going to come right back up. How am I going to keep food down when I can't even manage to keep water down? I slept on the couch that night. If by chance I felt the urge to get sick again I didn't want to do it next to Aiden's room and risk waking him up. The best part was when I went to sleep I left the baby monitor on as a just in case precaution and yup, Aiden got up a few times. Seth did not turn on the monitor in the bedroom so I ended up having to drag my sick ass upstairs to tend to him. He didn't sleep through the night and I had to feed him at 1pm. I have a feeling it was because Seth put him in his jersey sleep sack instead of the fleece one and he kept getting up because he was cold. Aiden went to daycare that day and I stayed home from work to rest. The 2hr nap that I took was very needed and I felt better afterwards. Food still didn't look so good but I did eat a bowl of cereal and a bowl of soup for lunch. Now I'm all better.

My new nephew!
My sister just posted some new pictures of her new little boy. He is so darn cute!! And has a head of blond hair as well. I wish she lived closer or we lived closer to her. Actually I wish we were closer to her because then that would mean that I am closer to other family members out that way. She's in upper Michigan. I need to talk to Seth about picking atime to go out there. I really want to go visit, esp with the new baby. She can meet Aiden, I can meet Keagan and we can catch up onthe past 10 years that we lost. I just want our kids to know who each other is. Family is very important to me and I want Aiden to learn that as well.

New beginnings
So I jumped on the bandwagon and started a blog. I have no idea what I am thinking doing this because I know that at any time something could happen and someone could get a hold of what ever it is that I choose to write about or the other scenraio is that everything that I have logged gets lost in cyberspace somewhere never to be seen again. I guess that is why I have always been a fan of good old pen and paper, but I never seem to have the time to update a journel anymore. Typing is so much faster and less work on the hand as well. I do know that with starting a blog I will probably be more inclined to update it frequently since it is much easier to do. We'll have to see how that goes.
