Carnivals and Playgrounds

Last Friday we went to a local carnival. It was by our local mall and was there the week since it was school vacation. It was small, but good enough for Aiden. We stayed about an hour.

I want to go on a ride....
She did go on the train with me and Aiden, but Daddy wasn't up for taking pictures.

Since it was so nice on Saturday we headed to the park to play with our friend Max.

 "I see you!!!"

Afterwards we headed over to get some ice cream to beat the heat.

Birthday Party Craziness- Part 1 & 2

The last weekend in January we went to a birthday party for a friend of ours. Aiden loves to get together with his friends to play. His parents, our friends, Jen and Dave had their son, Max's party at Stardust Gym. Its a cute little gym/gymnasium that does all sorts of things. Aiden calls it an indoor playground since that is easier for him to comprehend. Here are a few shots of party #1 in three weeks.

                                                                                            Playing in the foam pit.

                            Walking on the balance beam.

                                                                                      Jumping on the air trampolene.

                                     Playing with the parachute.

The following weekend we had the birthday party for another one of Aiden's friends, Jon. They love playing together and when we tell Aiden that he is going to see Jon he gets really excited. Actually to the point that we can't tell until a short time before we are going to see him otherwise Aiden will ask all day when we are going to see Jon. It's cute. I guess Jon does the same thing. Here are some shots from Jon's party.

 Horsing around together.
 Eating a cheese puff.

The following weekend was Rebecca's party. That is for another post. I am sure that Aiden will be asking when the next birthday party is for himto go to. Next month little man. You have 2 parties next month.

Bridgewater Festival of Lights

Last night we got together with friends and headed over to see The Festival of Lights in Bridgewater. Its at a person's house and they have this whole lights display in their backyard that you can walk through. It's a good size if you have snall children that lose interest in things quickly and the best part about the whole thing is that its free. They actually just ask that you make a donation that goes to a local charity. There is a fire pit going to keep you warm and they offer popcorn, hot chocolate, coffee, donuts or cookies as well free of charge. You can even get your picture with Santa permitting that you donate $5. Aiden had a blast going and I am sure that he will be even more excited when we go to Edaville next week for Christmas Eve. This year has been the best so far because Aiden has been so amazed by the decor and he finally understands Christmas. He may not get the purpose of it, but he loves the lights and the trees and he knows that Santa brings presents. Our issue is going to be explaining to him the difference between Hanukkah and Christmas. I tried already and he definitely didn't seem to understand.

And a little sneak peak at our night.

All around they ahd little display boxes that had scenes in them.
