A preview of what's to come?

Not quite sure if this is a preview of things to come with Rebecca, but I've had a glimpse of her "personality" these last few days. I know that she has been getting very frustrated with wanting to do things that she can't yet and she doesn't understand why everyone else can do the things she wants. I just know that she is going to be one of those kids that just takes off and the fact that she is also a girl just adds to it. She's going to be a girl on a mission with her agendas set.

Don't touch my toys!!!!!

These were the smiles I got from her after she screamed and screamed until it was her turn on the swing. She was soo jealous that big brother was on the swing and she wasn't. As soon as I snapped her in she was like a pig in poop.

Dusting off the suit.

Because I have a job interview tomorrow. WOOT!!!! Now I'm not going to get my hopes up that I will be offered the job, but it would be nice to finally have a job after almost a year and a half. Now don't get me wrong I have enjoyed my time off and I have also had my fair share to days where I thought I was going to rip my hair out because I was tired of just sitting at home and not contributing much to the family finances. Just a few of the perks would be having more spending money to get things that I need. Finally being able to contribute again to my 401K plan and you know being able to say "I'll pay for groceries this week." Oh and health insurance would be a bonus contribution as well.

First Movie

Yesterday we took Aiden to see his first movie. Cars 2. It was a really long movie for a kids movie and definitely too long for a first movie, almost 2 hours long. After about an hour and twenty minutes he quietly whispered in my ear that he wanted to turn the movie off, as if it were a DVD on a really big tv. We had popcorn, M&M's and lemonade. The movies was all serious business. No talking and no smiles. Even though he did well I think we will wait a little bit longer before taking him to see his next movie.

RaInboots

Aiden wanted to play outside the other day and it dawned on me that he didn't have any rainboots or a raincoat. I told him that I would get him some so we could play in the puddles the next time it rained. Today I picked him up some froggy rainboots. They are so cute. I just need to get the matching coat and umbrella. Either way since hes been up from his nap he has refused to take the boots off. They are 'just like Greta's. His girlfriend back in his old toddler room.

Father's Day

It was such a beautiful day on Father's Day this year. We all go got dressed and headed out to get breakfast as we usually do every Sunday. That part did not change. Later in the day we met up with some family for brunch. Aiden was over the moon that he was going to see cousin Naomi that day and that later they were going to head to the zoo together. I think it is soo cute that they ask to see each other and they look forward to seeing each other. I love that he is close with a cousin like that.

I hope you had a great father's day hun. In my opinion you are one of the greatest dads out there and of course my opinion is the only one that matters. Love you.

Back on the Blog Boat

I have been completely horrible about staying on top of this. Its sad really that the last entry was over a year ago. Onto being more proactive. A quick synopsis of the past year.

June 2010 we found out that we were expecting our second child.

July we went camping with my family and spent a weekend down the Cape.

August was Aiden's second birthday and the weather was beautiful. Sunny and warm unlike his first which was a monsoon.

September we had fun with apple picking and finding out that we were having a little girl.

October nursery decorating and pumpkin patch.

November- turkey time and fun with cousins.

December was lots of holiday fun between Hanukkah and Christmas. Christmas Eve we went to Edaville Railroad and built a ginger breadhouse.

January was pretty low key since I was put on bedrest for preterm labor, but we still had fun. Birthday parties for friends Aidan and Max.

February- Welcome Rebecca.

March- playing cousins and first time bowling

April we bought a swingset for Aiden. He was soo excited, but upset when he couldn't play on it the first day because it took so long to build and then next few days it rained. We had a playdate with some of my high school friends and Passover and Easter.

May turned out to be really nice weather wise. Mother's Day was beautiful. I got a new chandelier for the dining room. We played outside a lot and a great time with our neighbor Memorial Day Cookout.
