I hate how life has been so busy lately that I haven't been able to post these every week. That also means that I have not been writing them down in Aiden's journel as well. This is the example of how while working makes things easier, but it also makes others harder. Here are a few that I managed to write down.
5.) Aiden's is really starting to get into imaginative play. It's great to watch him and see what he does. Its even funnier at times whenyou are sitting at the ktichen table eating your breakfast and you hear him yell at his car and then throw it ask cross the room for "being bad".
4.) We were driving in the car and Seth turned around to look at Aiden. He was looking at his finger and of course we knew that he had been picking his nose. Seth asks him if he needs a tissue. "Nope. Because I already ate it!"
3.) Same car ride. Same conversation. Seth reminds Aiden that if he needs to wipe his nose then he needs to ask for a tissue and not eat his boogies. That if he eats his boogies then a boogie monster will grow in his belly. Cue the shocked look on Aiden's face and him looking at his belly." It was so hard to keep a straight face after saying that.
2.) Rebecca is really into hide-n-seek and being chased right now. At Friendly's the other night she desides that she is going to "hide" next to the crane game there and jump out at Seth. Of course you could hear her squeals all the way at the back of the restaurant where I was wrapping up our leftovers.
1.) Last night at bedtime Aiden randomly asks me about ankles. He asked me if we have a lot of ankles. I told him that we only have 2 ankles. One on for each foot. " Only two?" Yup, only two. "Well when we get bigger we get more ankles right?" Nope just two...well one can hope that they don't get cankles in their old age. Of course I didn't say that to him.

Saturdays Top Five Laughs
I love doing these posts because its funny to share the silly things that my kids do, but sometimes life gets in th way and lately I haven't been able to share as much as I would like. It was much easier to record a funny from Aiden when I was around him for most of the when I was not working. Now that I am there are fewer opportunities to experience this and sometime when it does happen I forget to write it down because we are out or doing something at the moment. Then is lost to me. Here are some of the silly things that I happen to catch these past 2 weeks.
5.) On our way to the doctors office to have Rebecca's ear checked for an infection, she ended up throwing up in the car. It was pretty bad. And we were only a mintue from the doctors too. Whats worse is that I really didn;t have many napkins in my car to wip it out. Luckily 95% if the stuf was still on Rebecca's shirt, but right before we got to the office Aiden says, "Mommy you need to open the windows more. We need to air this place out. Its very stinky in here from Rebecca's throw up."
4.) This happened the same day as the above. We were in the room waiting and Aiden asks. "Mommy what are we doing?" "We're waiting for the doctor to come in." "The doctor? Dr Seuss?"
3.)Last weekend I took Aiden grocery shopping with me. He tells me that he is going to borrow Rebecca's blanket in the car. "She's at home with Daddy so I can borrow er ducky blankwt. I like her ducky blanket. They 'quack' me up."
2.) One morning before school Aiden was playing with his toys and was supposed to be wating his breakfast as well. Seth gets home from the gym, Aiden pops up and says' Hi Daddy! I'm just playing with my toys right over here." Well arent'y you supposed to be eating your breakfast?" Holding his hand out in a matter-of-fact way Aiden says, " I am eating it, but its getting kind of soggy."
1.) This past Saturday when I was upstairs getting Rebecca dressed, Aiden was down stairs going to the bathroom. I guess after he went he came sauntering out of the bathroom yelled to Seth from the hallway, "Hey Daddy!! Look! I have pee pee balls!!" I have no idea where he learned that one from!! I going to guess that was a lesson from one of his friends at school. Of course, Seth is telling me this the next day when we are at IHOP for breakfast, Aiden gets all excited about the story and then says it very loudy in the restaurant. Good thing there really weren't that many people there.

Saturdays Top 5 Laughs
In trying to stay on top of things this weekend here we are a day early for a change.
5.) Last Friday Seth told me to meet him at Friendly's for dinner after I picked the kids up. Ironically after we got in the car Aiden tells me that he wants to go out for dinner, before I told him that we were already going to go out to eat. I asked him where he wanted to go for dinner and he tells me that he wants to go to IHOP to get some breakfast. Then he says "No I want to go to Robin Tuesdays." ( Ruby Tuesday's) I have no idea where he got that from because it been a while since we've been there, but it was so out of the blue for him to say that.
4.) Last night when Seth was getting Aiden ready for bed they were in the bathroom brushing their teeth. Aiden was just standing there and not brushing. Seth asked him what was wrong and he got all upset saying that he couldn;t brush his teeth because he was naked and didn;t have his jammies on. He was just in underwear on his stool.
3.) The other day we were in the car and the Selena Gomez song came on the radio. Aiden proceeds to tell me the change the station. " You don't like that song Aiden?" "No I don't." I change the station and on it is Kelly Clarkson's latest song. "Thats the song I like Mommy."
2.) Rebecca has started using what I call her "curious face" more often. She will raise her eyebrows, pucker up her lips and turn her head to the side a little as if to say "what are you doing over there? I need to know."
1.) Rebecca has always been attached to her blankie. She got attached to it around 2mos old so if you even think of taking her blankie away from her she gives you the dirtiest look and screams at you.

Top 5 Laughs
5.) This week I finally got my new camera. The box was in my car and Aiden asked what it was. I told him, "Mommy that is a really big camera!!"
4.) Yesterday whe Aiden got up in the morning her told us what he wasntd to do. #1- we got to swimming. #2 we get hair cuts. #3 we got get my new ipad.( ther is a new android tablet coming out the end of the month just for kids and we foolishly told him about it.)
3.) I decided that we need to get a bag for Rebecca's school bedding instead of using chea plastic bags. I told Aiden that we needed a bag for her " Yeah we have to get her a pink princess back pack. That sounds right." Wow the market sure has them cornered.
2.) Rebecca's new thing now when we are out to eat is while she is eatting she likes to turn around with a mouth full of food and she starts "talking" to everyone and everything. Like she is announciung to the world that she is eatting at that moment. And she's pretty loud about it.
1.) At Walmart this morning, as soon as we walked in the door Aiden tells me that we need to :go this way" Why? "because I need to go look at the treadmills this way."
I know that there were more this week, but I was really lax and didn't write them down. I'll try to be better about it for next week,

Saturdays Top 5 laughs
Yup another day late post, but ehh...
5.) Last weekend we went to IHOP for breakfast and Aiden had ham with his breakfast. Seth also had ham with his as well. So in seeing the two plates Aiden says, "Daddy you have a big ham and I have a little ham." had you not been sitting at the table it could have bee taken totally out of context.
4.) Aiden has a small remote control car. The other day he took it out to play with it, but the batteries were dead because he left it on. I told him that the batteries were dead. "Mommy we have to get some double AA batteries for my car." Don't know how he knew what batteries belonged in said car.
3.) It started to snow a little yesterday and when Aiden saw that it was snowing he said, "Mommy its snowing! Santa Claus is coming!!"
2.) Rebecca is in the dropping phase right now so she will look at you give a little devilish smile and then drop whatever she is holding on the floor. She totally knows what she is doing. And if you say "uh oh!" to her she starts to giggle.

Saturdays Laughs
Yes I realize that I am a day late, but better late then never I guess.
5. A few weeks ago Aiden was running around our staircase. On the wall of our living room I have a giant clock. Aiden asked me to take the clock off the wall because "the big, black clock is scary". Its just a standard large round clock/
4. The other day Aiden wanted to play peek a boo with Rebecca so he grabbed her blanket and he had his blanket and they were playing together, He was even putting her blanket back over her head so that she could pull it down and he would say "BOO!" to her. She cracks up laughing every time.
3. Rebecca's favorite stuffed animal is a stuffed Grinch that we got from Kohl's the Christmas before she was born. We got it with the book. She does like other stuffed animals and her dolls but this Grinch is by far her favorite of them all. I guess there is a reason that the Ugly Doll plush sells so well.
2. If you scold Rebecca for doing something, like getting into the cat food yet again. then she has started to ginve you the puppy dog eyes and sometimes she will put her head down on the floor and start to cry a little. She's learning really fast how to get you.
1. We have been telling Aiden that I am going back to work so that I can make monmey to pay for things around the house. The other day Aiden grabbed his keyboard sat on the couch and said that he was going to work so that he can make some checks.
I do have a couple more but I think that I am going to save those for next week. How was your weekend?

Saturdays top five laughs
Its been a while since I have done one of these. I have been meaning to post about them, but during the week I have been forgetting to write down the thing that happen with Aiden and Rebecca and when I've tried to remember what was said or done I end up drawing a blank. Here are a few from this past week.
5. We recently put the baby gate back up in the kitchen door way because Rebecca has been a little sly thing as far as scooting as fast as she can over to the stairs her new favorite thing. As soon as she gets through the gate she makes a bee line to the stairs and if you are not fast enough she'll already be 2-3 steps up.
4. We went to an indoor play place the other day and I asked Aiden if he wanted a snack before we went since it was around snack time. He looked at me, scowled, and said "But Mommy I already ate a waffle!" yeah kid...2 hours ago...
3. Aiden has to sit in the middle of the couch when he is watching a show. I asked him to move over the other day so that I could also sit down and he said." Mommy I have to sit in the crack because I'm a cracky cracky."
2. I made smoothies the other night. Poured 2 cups, one for me and the other for Seth. Aiden sees my glass and says,"Mommy I'm going to share with you because I know I like that." "Ok do you want a sip? "mmm... It's yummy. it has yogurt in it." It's called a smoothie. "A smoovie? its soo smoooth."
1. Rebecca has a new move now. Its probably a precursor to her standing alone, but she looks so funny doing it.

Saturdays 5 top Laughs
Its a day late, but yesterday was a travel day for us and I didn't have time to link up to Melissa at The Mommyhood Chronicles.
5.) Aiden apparently is not a fan of red lights. Neither are a lot of people. One time while driving we hear him say from the back seat, "That stupid light is changing red. Now we have to stop." Of course we don't, or at least try not to say the word "stupid" in our house, so we are thinking that he learned it from daycare.
4.) On our flight out to Detroit there was a little bit of turbulence. Aiden grabs the arm rests and then says " Look Daddy!! Its like a roller coaster.!! 3.) A few minutes later he says when we were landing "its really bumpy. Everyone hold on tight!!"
2.) After getting ready for bed we had a chair pulled over to the sink so he could brush his teeth. Seth asks him what he is doing. " I'm looking in the mirror. I'm very handsome!"
1.) We were heading over to Starbucks and rather then waiting at the light I got out to walk over and then Seth would meet me in the parking lot. Fooling around, after I crossed the seat Seth did a little toot on the horn and said to Aiden that I was working the corner. Aiden then said in a scolding voice, "Daddy!!! That's not that funny."

Saturdays Top Five Laughs

5.) Aiden is really starting to show his imaginative side lately and I love it. He will just randomly start talking and when I look over to respond I see that he is talking to one of his toys. The other day at bed time he said that Clifford ( the big red dog) was really sad. I asked him how come. "Because Mommy, he doesn't have any food."
4.) Rebecca is trying soooo hard to crawl and she will see Aiden moving around so in frustration she will straighten out her arms and legs and just scream out in disgust. Its pretty funny to see the temper in her already.
3.) We had our holiday photos taken today and when we were on our way home Aiden said that we needed to go home to change into some comfy clothes.
2.) "Mommy can you read to me?" "Of course I will. go pick out a book." "Can you read this one to me?" "You want to read that book?" "Yeah!! I want one of those!!!" - It was the Thomas the Train toy set catalog.
1.) Seth had to get a new car a couple weeks ago because it was going to cost too much to fix and it wasn't worth the repair bill.So Aiden asked if Daddy's car was fixed yet. I told him no it wasn't. Yeah it was too broke to be fixed. he had to get a new one.

Saturday's Top 5 Laughs
Sorry I don't have much this week.
5.) We were doing something in the house. I can't remember what we were doing, but Seth came over to tell Aiden something. Aiden then responds "Daddy don't tell me!! Walk away!"
4.) Rebecca was going in for a nap so I brought her over to give Aiden hugs and kisses goodnight. As I'm walking away he says, "Mommy you taking Rebecca upstairs to eat before her nap?
"Yes Aiden I am." "Mommy, do you have directions?"
3.) What kid is not obsessed with poop at this age. "Mommy look!! That's a stinky poopy! It's not a Lincoln log." oh jeez....
2.) Little Miss Rebecca has become quite a camera ham to the point that I am pretty sure she is starting to pose for her picture. See examples 1 & 2
She saw the camera tipped her head to the side...
and then gave me a huge smile.
1.) Rebecca has become miss noseybody. Always has to know what is going on and where everyone is.

5.) While driving in the car Aiden said something and we didn;t what he said so Seth turned around and asked him to repeat what he said. he tells us "I already said. Daddy you turn around and face front."
4.) The other night Aiden said he stole all our noses and he was keeping them in his belly button.
3.) Rebecca now when she eats makes a grunting sound as she is "chewing". She also will now take a bite, smile and then bob her head to side to side.
2.) The ATM by our house is broken about 50% of the time and its such a pain in the butt to have to get out with the kids and go inside to deposit checks. So yet ago the ATM was out of service this past Thursday. A- "Mommy the bank is broken?" Yes Aiden it is. "Mommy you have to give me yur phone so I can call Daddy to go fix it."

Saturdays's Top Five Laughs
A friend of mine posts on her blog The Mommyhood Chronicles every Saturday the funny things that her kids say or do through out the week. A few months ago I started a book where I write down all the funny things that Aiden says, but I thought that I would start sharing on here. the book will be for later embarrassment at say his wedding.
5.)There was a dead animal in front of our house last weekend and Aiden asked me what that was. I told him it was an animal. He then said that someone broke there stuff animal and they needed to fix it.
4.) After Aiden went potty I had to go as well. he says to me. "Mommy you have to sit down to go potty?" Yes I do Aiden. "You don't have a pee pee so you can't stand." No I don't. "You have to go to the store to buy one so you can stand like me and Daddy."

1.) "Daddy, Leo is scratching Rebecca's kitty. We have to spray him." Why don't you put her kitty away. "That's a good idea. Then we go spray Leo."

4.) After Aiden went potty I had to go as well. he says to me. "Mommy you have to sit down to go potty?" Yes I do Aiden. "You don't have a pee pee so you can't stand." No I don't. "You have to go to the store to buy one so you can stand like me and Daddy."

2.) "Rebecca do you have poopies?" Aiden- yeah mommy she have poopies stuck to her butt.
1.) "Daddy, Leo is scratching Rebecca's kitty. We have to spray him." Why don't you put her kitty away. "That's a good idea. Then we go spray Leo."
